Today is indeed Thursday which means it is another Thankful Thursday! I enjoy Thursdays as I get to think about all the wonderful things I am thankful for in my marriage and about my husband!
My cousin has been in and out of the hospital since November battling cancer. Last week he was in the hospital all week and finally got released this Tuesday. Our family decided to have a get together Tuesday night for the fourth of July since everyone had off the following day. We were all excited my cousin was able to get out in time to celebrate!
Originally, Ryan and I were not planning on going seeing how the party started at our bed time! (Seeing how we get up at 4:15 we tend to go to bed early.) However, on Tuesday when I found out my cousin was out of the hospital I really wanted and needed to go. I wanted Ryan to be there with me. I wanted my whole family there enjoying each other. I asked Ryan if he would go with me to the get together. I told him I wanted to go and wanted him there with me. Ryan didn’t complain, didn’t ask if he had to go, but went, chatted and had a good time.
I am very thankful on this Thursday that Ryan not only listens to me when I tell him what I need, but acts accordingly! I am thankful that he is supportive and encouraging to me in so many different situations!
