Thursday is here again! Thankful Thursday!
The other day as Ryan and I eat our dinner I think to myself, “Boy, has my diet changed since meeting Ryan!” Once I went to college I started making positive changes in what I ate. Then, several months before Ryan and I met I started running and changing my diet even more. However, I still did not have a wide variety of healthy foods that I preferred to eat.
That evening we were eating grilled salmon, mixed veggies and sweet potatoes. Prior to meeting Ryan I never ate salmon or sweet potatoes or even peas (which are in the mixed veggies) for that matter. And to tell you the true I pick out about half of the peas still. BUT I do eat some of them!
Other things that Ryan has introduced or encouraged me to add to my diet consists of: zucchini, squash, blueberries, prunes, more tuna, spinach, greek yogurt and…. I am sure some other things as well!
These all have been positive changes in my diet that Ryan has encouraged. On this Thankful Thursday I am thankful that Ryan encourages me to eat healthy and introduces new foods. It is great to know that we have some good eating habits that we have created for ourselves and will then carry over for our children one day!
