It’s was my Birthday!

On Sunday it was my birthday and several people have asked what we did to celebrate. So I figured I would just let the whole world know ;)

Saturday some of the birthday plans started. We had a nice lunch and then shopped a little bit.

I ended up with these two things:

A cycling jersey to wear on bike rides.

A Road ID.

Funny story really. I don’t even know how long ago, but I would guess a few years back Ryan’s mom got him a certificate to order a Road ID. You wear them so if something happens to you when you are working out they can have important information right there and know who to contact. I would imagine his mom would worry about him on his 3 hours bike rides where he goes all over town and don’t hear from him for awhile. Well since we got married that burden has been put on me. It’s just one of those things that comes with marriage. haha. So I was telling him the other day how I wanted him to get his Road ID for himself for my birthday! We are in the midst of us both getting Road ID’s now!

(I didn’t realize until I loaded those pictures that I chose purple for both! I do like the color.)

On Sunday when Ryan came home from his morning run he had the flowers and card pictured above. He wrote such beautiful, nice words inside the card. He has a way with words. We then went to church and had another birthday lunch. I received a delicious home grown melon from a friend at church. And more cards at lunch.

My parents made me some PVC things for my class for me. They made a sand table and a pocket chart holder. That is exciting stuff as well! My mom also got me “The One Year Love Language Minute Devotional” which I have been enjoying a lot! You may see a post about it occasional because it is just that good! You can check in out below:

All in all I enjoyed my birthday and felt very loved! I am thankful for the loved ones who surround me :)

Don’t forget tomorrow is For Women Only Wednesday! We will be talking about chapters 7) Chocolate, Flowers, Bait Fishing and chapter 8 ) The Truth About the Way You Look
